What to Expect at your Urgent Care visit
Appointments are not needed, so just walk-in and register to be seen.
The registration process:
- Fill out a short registration form and return to the receptionist.
- Sign for consent to treat & bill.
- Receive a copy of our privacy practices, sign to accept or decline.
- Provide your driver’s license/photo ID, and insurance cards to be scanned into your chart.
- Your co-pay or deposit will be collected by cash, check, debit or credit.*
- Complete a brief medical history form while waiting to be seen.
During your visit:
- After escorting you to an exam room, the medical assistant will obtain your vital signs and talk with you about the reason for your visit. Your medical history will be entered into your electronic medical record and kept for future visits.
- Your provider will then meet with you to discuss your symptoms, history, and perform a thorough examination. Any necessary labs, tests, or x-rays will be ordered and performed.
- After determining your diagnosis, your provider will provide you with treatment recommendations, prescriptions for any medications prescribed and instructions for follow-up care.
- Upon discharge, you will be referred back to your primary care provider or specialist (if allowed by your insurance) for follow-up care and treatment. If you do not have a primary care provider, we can provide you with information on providers in the area, or you are welcome to return to our facility for your follow-up care.
*If we are not billing insurance, you will be expected to pay a deposit when you check-in and any remaining balance upon discharge.
